The Western Kentucky Coal Association is the trade organization in Western Kentucky, representing the coal industry’s major issues and problems of common interest and concern.
With such a diverse and multi-faceted industry, WKCA provides a united front in working with those issues to realize resolutions beneficial to all.
Some of the goals of the WKCA are:
• Promoting western Kentucky and its coal marketplace.
• Achieving a regulatory program that is realistic and healthy, which will improve the utilization and development of western Kentucky coal.
• Serve as the Western Kentucky coal industry’s voice and liaison with the Kentucky general Assembly, the Congress, the state and federal regulatory agencies.
• Bring awareness to the public of the importance of the coal and the role it plays in this nation’s Energy future.
As a Supplier of goods and services to the coal industry, and as one whose prosperity depends on the prosperity of the coal industry, your participation and financial support of these efforts and goals will be not only beneficial to the prosperity of Western Kentucky coal industry, but to your own as well.
As an Associate Member of the Western Kentucky Coal Association, your support will greatly facilitate the continued effectiveness of these goals.
Through a united effort of coal companies and coal industry suppliers, the Western Kentucky Coal industry can develop its full potential while continuing to contribute to the welfare of Western Kentucky, Kentucky, and the Nation, as well as the future prosperity of the industry and its support industries.
Dues for Associate Members are based on business size and on involvement in the coal industry. The dues are payable quarterly, and range from $31.25 to $1250 per quarter for members. (Coal Producers pay quarterly dues of $1250).
